Garden Design Process

Our process when working on garden design in Portsmouth and Hampshire, has been honed over a number of years.

We probably work quite differently to other tradespeople you have met before. Our approach and our garden design process is all about listening, clarity and communication.

Our initial visit will always be very much centred around what YOU want to achieve from the space you would like created. From there we are on hand to assist you with our honest opinion and provide you with the years of experience we have. After all, that’s why you call us!

Whether this is design ideas, material pairings or colour schemes for planting. Our goal is to interpret your ideas and transform them into the dream you had before we started.

Once we leave you we’ve got a great idea of what it is you are trying to achieve. Within a week we will have a full, detailed quotation sent across for you to read through. Where required we can also create ‘mood boards’ and sketches which certainly help with more detailed and complex projects. If you have any questions or amendments that you would like to discuss, we are always at the end of the phone or on email.

Once you let us know you’d like to us to work with you, we arrange a second meeting to agree on the final design, material options and mark out the garden area if necessary to help you visualise the space.

From that point, we provide you with an approximate start date (you never can rely on the British weather) and we get going with all the behind the scenes organising ready to begin.

Throughout the project Chris, Dan and the team are always on hand to answer any questions, make any adjustments you’ve since thought about and make any last decisions on materials, sizes of areas etc.

When we are all finished making a mess and your project is complete, we like to have a final consultation with our customers. Nothing formal, this is really just a walk around the garden discussing the particular elements, checking you are happy and providing information on the best ways to care for your new dream space.
